10.02.25 - NYAC - President's Room - Catholic Faith Investors

The Moore PA team once again loaded into the New York Athletic Club to provide AV and recording services for Catholic Faith Investors, this once was a little different from most other events we do at the club, as for this we prioritized the recording and post production over the audience, filming back to back fireside chats and interviews, to be distributed as high quality content for the client.

To address in-room video needs we setup (2) 85" TV screens in the corners of the room, (1) Roland VR-120, a and (2) Dell Latitude laptops to serve powerpoints, but this was of less importance as the focus for this event was the recording, to capture it we used (3) Sony FR-7 Cinema PTZ cameras and recorded a multicord of the three shots for post-production editing. We also used (1) Atmos Sumo Studio Recorder to capture a line cut recording for backup. Additionally we used (2) Aputure 600x lights as a stage wash and (2) Source 4 Minis for hair light. To set the scene we brought in several panels of blue drape and LED uplights, creating a wide backdrop for the camera shots.

For the audio we used (4) DPA mics and (1) Shure ULXD4Q wireless receiver to record all the panelists, recording into a multitrack for more editing capability. In addition we had (40 L'Acoustic X8 Speakers set on the floor as a quieter front fill for the small in-room audience.

For processing we used (1) Novastar MX-40 Pro, and (1) CTV10-S Fiber Converter. In addition we also setup (1) Confidence monitor mirroring the main display for the presenters. In regards to content we setup our Origin Server alongside (3) Dell Latitude laptops, and (1) Roland VR-120 Video Switcher. This particular event required layering muliple presentations and assets together on one screen so the combination of the VR-120 and Origin server running Resolume Arena was essential to accomplishing that.

In addition to the in-room display we also provided a recording/livestream for the client, using (3) Sony FR-7 Cameras around the room, all sending signal to LSE-2, our all-in-one solution for camera/line cut control. We used vMix Pro to gather assets and feeds, compiling it all into a single recording that can easily be saved and transported to the client. To ensure we had the best quality recording we also set-up (2) Aputure 300x spotlights for stage wash. Check out some photos from the symposium below!

06.25.25 - Private Event - Club Knick - LED screen

The Moore PA team loaded into a private club in the upper east side to provide an LED wall rental for a western themed party. We used (50) VMX 2.6 LED panels with a truss ground support system and sandbags to safely keep it in place; additionally, we used an angle during setup so the panels would slightly curve around the corner, hiding the fireplace. For content our team put together a 30 minute loop with scenes from various classic western films, giving that extra touch of immersion for the event. We used (1) Dell Latitude laptop running vMix Pro to loop the video, sent that to a Roland VR-120 video switcher, and then to (1) Novastar VX1000 processor before being displayed on the wall.

The whole Moore PA crew had to get together for this one, as the team drove up to Cold Spring Harbor, NY to provide audio, video, and recording services for the graduating class of 2025. We brought all the bell and whistles for this one, as this event had many different moving parts.

As there were many different performances in different parts of the gym, we used a more in depth setup than usual. To provide for the band we set up (12) MX418C Cardioid Gooseneck mics, running them all to a dedicated Yamaha RIO 1608 stage box, we also used (2) more of the same mic for the commencement speakers onstage. The event also featured solo performance showcases which we used (2) Shure ULXD2 - Handheld mics, allowing for the student performers to freely walk around the space. For PA we used (3) L'Acoustics dV DOSC and (8) X8 speakers as the mains, L'Acoustics 108P for side fills and monitors, and (2) 112P speakers for delays so the crowd in the back could hear. The passive speakers were all powered by (2) L'Acoustic LA-4X amps, all controlled and mixed with (1) Yamaha QL-5.

These displayed imag through the commencement, all captured by (5) Sony FR-7 PTZ cameras set at different angles, two of which we put on top of truss in the back of the room for a wide shot. To control all the cameras and create a seamless recording we setup (1) LSE-2 unit for PTZ control, and for the stream/recording. For video switching on the LED walls and to receive camera feeds we used (1) Roland VR-120, allowing operators to focus on one task and communicate with the team via comm headsets.
